About us
Who we are, what this site is for, and how it pays for itself.
What's Your Case is an independent title about consumer, housing, work. It exists because most writing on this subject is either too shallow to act on or written to sell something, and there is room in between for work that simply explains how things are.
What we cover
The site is organised into 5 sections:
- Consumer — Faulty goods, refunds, contracts and the rights attached to a purchase.
- Housing — Tenancies, deposits, repairs and the obligations running both ways.
- Work — Contracts, notice, dismissal and what an employment relationship contains.
- Family & Estates — Wills, probate and the arrangements people put off making.
- Courts — What a claim involves, how long it takes, and what it costs to bring.
Rights and disputes. Ordinary paperwork and process is What Nobody Explains. Keeping the remit narrow is deliberate; a title that covers everything covers nothing well.
How we work
We check things. When a subject is genuinely unsettled, the piece says it is unsettled rather than picking the tidier answer. When advice depends on your circumstances — and it usually does — the article says which circumstances matter.
Our full editorial policy sets out how pieces are researched, reviewed and corrected.
How this site is funded
The site is funded by advertising. Advertising has no influence over what we cover or what we conclude, and no advertiser sees an article before it is published. Nothing on this site is sponsored content, and if that ever changes it will be labelled clearly at the top of the piece.
Who publishes it
What's Your Case is published by Malhotra Media Works, a business owned and run by Simran Malhotra, registered in Bengaluru, Karnataka, India. It has been publishing since 2019.
The registered address appears on our contact page and in our terms and conditions. The quickest way to reach the editorial desk is the form on the contact page, or editorial@whatsyourcase.com.
